The idea for PavingEstimator.com was born on a job site. We watched a homeowner panic because their contractor ordered 2 tons less asphalt than needed. The result? A cold joint, a delayed project, and an extra $800 bill.
Most online calculators are “dumb.” They treat asphalt like water ($L \times W \times H$). But asphalt compacts. Gravel settles.
